Testimonials:

Our group has now experienced the wilds of Alaska on a luxurious cruise tour. Relaxed and enjoyed the sunny Caribbean in February. And marveled at the beauty and cultural offerings on a Scandinavia & Russia Cruise. We are now preparing to journey to Canada/New England on a cruise from our homeport of Baltimore. Each trip surpasses our expectations. - Bank Club Director

The arrangements for our group cruise were handled flawlessly and the personalized service we received was unmatched. We are now organizing a third cruise! - Religious Organization Travel Director

You're dying to take a cruise, but doubts nag you. "Isn't it too expensive?" "What if I get bored?" "What will the kids do all day?"

Sound familiar? If so, it's time to educate yourself on the wonders of cruising, one of today's most popular vacation options.

Prices. Today's cruises are affordable because they're all-inclusive. Your cruise fare, inside or outside cabin accommodations, on-board meals and activities, entertainment, and, often even airfare from home to embarkation port are included in a single, per person price.

Entertainment. Las Vegas-style revues, first-run movies, gambling casinos, dance clubs-today's cruises offer a variety of nightlife. Choosing a theme cruise-golf cruises are among the popular options-or enjoy the aerobics, tennis, swimming, water sports, complete gym facilities, and more that are standard on most cruises. And don't worry about the kids, they'll enjoy day-long programs and fun-centered baby-sitting services.

Dining. Midnight buffets still reign after hours, while poolside eateries offer burgers and light fare all day. Gourmet is the watchword in the elegant dining room, and most cruises offer low-cal, spa, fitness and kosher menus. And it's all included in your fare-you only pay for your alcohol.

Packing. On today's cruises, "resort casual" is the watchword. Comfortable separates, good walking shoes, one semiformal outfit (a cocktail dress for women, a dark suit or dinner jacket for men), and of course a swimsuit, are all you need. You'll also want to pack medications, extra eyeglasses, sunscreen, and a camera and film to capture all the fun.

Seasickness. On today's mega-liners, stabilizers minimize the impact of waves, and weather technology enables captains to steer clear of rough waters. If you're still worried about seasickness, pack a product called Sea Bands-natural, acupressure wrist bands- or ask your doctor about medication.

Tipping. Plan to spend $10.00 per day, per passenger for customary gratuities on most ships. Plus, plan for miscellaneous tips, such as at a cocktail hour or for special services.

So don't let myths about cruising steer you away from the vacation of a lifetime.
